- Ensuring that all bar staff are following company policies regarding drink recipes, ingredients, and preparation methods
- Training and supervising bar staff in order to ensure that they are knowledgeable about all aspects of serving liquor and cocktails
- Maintaining inventory of alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic mixers to ensure that all bar supplies are available when needed
- Preparing and serving alcoholic drinks according to recipes and instructions provided by management
- Ensuring that all glassware and bar equipment are clean and well-maintained at all times
- Handling customer complaints or concerns regarding service or drink quality in a courteous manner
- Collecting payment for drinks at the time of service, or processing payment at the end of the shift if using a cash register system
- Serving non-alcoholic beverages such as juices, soft drinks, and bottled water
- Managing the bar’s inventory by ordering liquor, beer, and other beverages directly from suppliers
- Creates drink and food menus.
- Determines employees' schedules.
- Ensures bar is well-stocked and clean.
- Tracks customer behavior and sales
- Maintains budget and monitors costs.
- Maintains drink recipe documentation.
- Oversees planning for special events.
